Three charged with murder of Alabama 16-year-old; police release few details on what happened

Three Alabama men have been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy who was shot and killed Monday afternoon, police said Wednesday.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday police were called to investigate a shooting on Spruce Circle. There they found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot.

The victim, who has not been identified by police, was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later, police said.

On Tuesday, three people were arrested and charged with murder and shooting into an occupied building.

Those arrested include: Devin Tayshone Brooks, 19, Aakari Jaequon Harris, 20, and J’siyah Narzavius Warren, 20.

Brooks also faces a weapons charge.

Police have not publicly disclosed any details about the shooting or what may have been a motive.
