Former Oregon Ducks cornerback Khyree Jackson is dead at 2024 after a tragic automobile accident, according to multiple reports.

His high school teammates who attended Dr. Henry Wise Jr., Anthony Lytton Jr. and Isaiah Hazel, were also killed in the accident that took place in Maryland, according to their high school coach DaLawn Parrish.

In his time with the Ducks, Jackson had the best season of his college career in 2023, making 34 tackles (five for loss), including two sacks, seven pass breakups and three interceptions as one of the team's best defensive backs.

Prior to joining Oregon, Jackson made stops in at Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College, followed by East Mississippi CC and Alabama.

He was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the No. 108 overall pick.

The Vikings released the following statement on Saturday in regard to Jackson's death:

We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson's death following an overnight car accident. While we work to gather more information, we have spoken to Khyree's family and offered the support of the Minnesota Vikings. We have also communicated the news to Vikings players, coaches and staff and have offered counseling for those who need emotional support. Our thoughts are with Khyree's family, friends, teammates and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident.

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning also offered his condolences in remembrance of Jackson and the impact he had.
