“Chomp the Block” pep rallies to be held on five Fridays at Celebration Pointe

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Celebration Pointe announced the 2024 “Chomp the Block” schedule, the official block party of the Florida Gators, to be held most Fridays before home football games. The events, starting August 30, feature food and drinks from onsite restaurants, food trucks, live music, giveaways, and games, along with a pep rally complete with the Gators’ Spirit Team. Celebration Pointe is North Central Florida’s premier mixed-use development, prominently located just off I-75 and Archer Road in Gainesville.

“The Gators are starting a very exciting and promising season, and we are fired up to bring the community together to celebrate the team and fans for a majority of the home games,” said Sean McIntosh, Vice President of Asset Management, Celebration Pointe. “Celebration Pointe is the perfect venue for these fun, family-friendly events.”

A Chomp the Block party is held on the Friday before most home games from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be food and beverages at Celebration Pointe restaurants and outdoor bars, plus food trucks and a kids’ zone with child-friendly games such as a bounce house, face painting, and balloon animals.

Here’s this year’s Chomp the Block schedule at Celebration Pointe:

• Aug. 30 – Ahead of Florida vs. University of Miami – The Swamp Opener; Live music by Bennie & the Band
• Sept. 13 – Ahead of Florida vs. Texas A&M – Championship Reunion/Family Weekend; Live music by Jamie Davis
• Oct. 18 – Ahead of Florida vs. Kentucky – UF Homecoming/Hall of Fame and GatorMade Week; Live music by D.R. Band & Soul Fire
• Nov. 15 – Ahead of Florida vs. LSU – Saluting Those Who Serve; Live music by Whiskey Jones
• Nov. 21 – Ahead of Florida vs. Ole Miss – Senior Day; Live music by Chillula

These exclusive block parties are part of a comprehensive, ongoing partnership program with the Florida Gators. In addition to Chomp the Block parties, the agreement includes Celebration Pointe hosting Gator Talk Radio at Miller’s Ale House most Thursdays with Florida Athletics coaches, a fan favorite for many years.

Celebration Pointe is also a Gator Aider location for convenient, game day park-and-ride to and from UF football games on Saturdays.
