Washington man seriously injured in morning crash with school bus
NEWBERRY, Fla. – A Washington man was seriously injured this morning in a crash with a school bus transporting students on the first day of school. According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:28 a.m. today, an Alachua County Public Schools bus driven by a 61-year-old Fanning Springs woman was traveling northbound on County Road 241 and entered the intersection with W. Newberry Road. A pickup truck driven by a 68-year-old man from Port Angeles, Washington, was traveling westbound on W. Newberry Road and entered the intersection with County Road 241 just as the bus entered the intersection, resulting in a crash.
