    PG&E shuts off power to customers in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin counties

    ( KRON ) — PG&E turned off the power to over 200 customers in portions of Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Joaquin Counties on Saturday afternoon.

    PG&E announced the power shutoff at approximately 4 p.m. They said about 220 customers will be affected.

    Customers who had their power shut off, according to PG&E:

    • ALAMEDA: 96 customers
    • CONTRA COSTA: 62 customers
    • SAN JOAQUIN: 56 customers

    Customers still in scope but not impacted, according to PG&E:

    • ALAMEDA: 66 customers
    • CONTRA COSTA: 266 customers
    • FRESNO: 3 customers
    • MERCED: 50 customers
    • SAN BENITO: 193 customers
    • SAN JOAQUIN: 53 customers

    “PG&E expects to have a weather "all clear" [Saturday] around 8:00 p.m., at which point we will begin patrols, assess for any damage, make repairs and restore service for impacted customers,” the utility said.

    All customers impacted by this Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) are expected to have their service restored by Sunday morning, PG&E said.

    The utility says that the remaining customers who received prior notices about a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) have not had their power shut off this weekend.
