It’s a surprisingly simple process. Volunteers go out and try to count, how many unhoused people there are. Data from Alameda County’s PIT Count came out earlier this Summer, and according to the data, homelessness is actually decreasing in Alameda County.
PG&E warns of possible safety shutoffs from dry weather, winds
PG&E warned Friday that about 16,000 customers across seven counties could have their power shut off Saturday due to safety reasons from potential dry and windy conditions. Bay Area man gets prison for selling counterfeit electronics to U.S. military
An Alameda County man has been sentenced to federal prison after being convicted of selling counterfeit electronics to the Department of Defense that were intended to be used in military equipment, including a nuclear submarine, prosecutors said Thursday.According to Northern District of California U.S. Attorney Ismael Ramsey's office, 63-year-old Steve H.S. Kim was sentenced to three years and six months in prison.
