Victim, 70, Used Dying Breaths to ID Killer Who Massacred his Own Wife, Young Sons and In-Laws: Cops

A 70-year-old California man used his last dying breaths to walk across to the neighbors and identify his son-in-law as the killer of his wife, daughter, and two toddler grandsons.

Knewz.com has learned that Miguel Carcamo Ramirez’s message was then relayed by said neighbor to the police in a 911 call and resulted in the arrest of 56-year-old Shane Killian.

“During his dying declaration, Victim 1 identified the defendant (Killian) as the murder suspect,” the police report confirmed.

When the police arrived on the scene in Alameda County on July 9, they found two women dead inside the house and identified them as Killian’s wife and mother-in-law, along with two male toddlers aged 6 and 1.

“Officers located the defendant at the crime scene. Of the six residents at the home where this mass murder shooting occurred, the defendant was the only person unscathed. Everyone else sustained at least one gunshot wound,” the statement continued.

It was reported that the younger of the two boys, Wesley James, clung to life for a week in hospital before succumbing to his wounds.

Killian is alleged to have used a semi-automatic pistol to commit the murders and a police search of the premises produced numerous other firearms including an assault rifle.

The motive for the massacre is still unknown with one neighbor telegraphing that she hoped for more clarity on the incident.

“Hopefully we will find out what was in the suspect’s head and what caused him to snap.”

“To learn it was a whole family … it’s just so sad,” said Barbra Robles, who also knew the family.

According to Killian’s co-workers, he was an easygoing man who doted on his family.

As a testimony to the latter, his Facebook account shows a note posted to his wife saying:

“Happy anniversary my love. was. by the grace of God that I found you, by His grace that we have two beautiful children, and I hope by His grace that I will share this life for many more years to come.”

While he was noted to be proud of his family , those who knew him claimed that he was unhappy about his in-laws moving into their home and had a difficult relationship with his father-in-law. He was also said to have a short temper.

Killian, who is being held without bail, appeared in court twice since his crime but has not yet entered a plea.

A relative of the victims, Karen Diaz, was present during these appearances and noted:

“I felt very disgusted being on the other side and seeing him with no face expression. Nothing. I don’t know how someone can just stand there and not be sad about something like this.”

Esmerelda Juarez, also related to Killian’s late wife, said: “We’re broken into million pieces. This pain will never go away,”  per a report by San Francisco TV station, KRON4 .

If convicted, Killian will face a maximum of 246 years in jail.
