Alameda firefighters had their work cut out for them this past week. From an encampment blaze and a commercial structure fire at Alameda Point , a boat fire at Fortman Marina, and a vegetation fire along Shore Line Drive, our local heroes were on the scene day and night.

Additionally, the fire department welcomed several firefighters home when they returned to our island city after serving with other units to help fight the Bridge Fire, a wildfire in the Angeles National Forest.

    Thank you, AFD !
