Alamogordo Climb the Cube 9-11 Remembered Event

The Alamogordo Fire Department and New Mexico Museum of Space History proudly announce the upcoming Climb the Cube 9/11 Remembrance Stair Climb, scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2024. This event pays tribute to the 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, 8 emergency medical technicians, and numerous other first responders, including heroic K9 units, who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Participants will climb the equivalent of 110 stories, symbolizing the heroic ascent made by first responders in the World Trade Center towers. This poignant event not only honors the fallen but also raises funds to support programs assisting the families of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Registration begins at 7 am. The stair climb is open to all individuals, including first responders, civilians, and even K9 companions, reflecting the diverse group of heroes we honor. It is not a competitive race but a solemn tribute to bravery and sacrifice.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance. The event will feature special tributes to different groups of first responders, including firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and K9 units.
