Michigan to document historic ‘Green Book’ locations safe for Black travelers
LANSING, MI -- Michigan is surveying historic locations included in the Negro Motorist Green Book. The Green Book was a guide book for Black travelers across the nation published from 1936 to 1966. The book had a list of hotels, restaurants and other establishments safe for Black travelers at the time.
