Who Will Win 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' Season 9? Episode 8 Power Rankings

We're more than halfway done with RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 9 and eight of our favorite queens from seasons past are in the middle of a battle for $200,000. Only this time, instead of taking home the prize themselves, they'll be competing for charity AND no one is going home. With only three weeks left before the finale, however, it's crunch time for the queens. This week on Episode 8, RuPaul announced the season's second design challenge based off of her songs. Plastique Tiara and Roxxxy Andrews earned badges and moved one step closer to the finale.

In each episode, the queens will compete for Benefactress Badges with the three queens who collect the most badges vying for the crown in the season finale.

Which brings us to the question: Who will win Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars ?

To that end, I've put together a ranking of the eight queens competing on this season, ordered from least likely to most likely to be inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame. It's a power ranking if you will, and while there are supposed spoilers on dark corners of the internet, I haven't read any of them. This ranking is also based on how likely the queen is to WIN the competition, not just go far, and takes into consideration everything that’s taken place so far.

8. Shannel

Last Week's Placement: Eighth

Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

To set the stage, the queens now only have three opportunities left to earn badges before the top three compete in the finale. While it's possible that Ru may start doling out more than one Benefactress Badge at a time (like he did in All Stars 7 ), Shannel would need to win at least two if not all three of the remaining competitions in order to end up in the finale. Her chances of winning this season are basically non-existent at this point. We're just hoping she manages to win at least one challenge before heading home.

7. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo

Not Cut Off

With Shannel basically out of the running and Plastique and Roxxxy more or less locks for the finale given their four badges, that leaves five queens competing for that final spot in the finals. Since Angeria can't earn another badge next week due to being cut off, that leaves an opening for her competitors to earn their third badge. Of those nipping at Angeria's tail, Miss Vanjie seems the least likely to sneak into the finale. Both of her badges were earned with an assist from another queen and she hasn't even been close to winning most weeks. While her personality is bringing a lot of energy to this season, her chances at winning seem low.

6. Jorgeous

Not Cut Off

While I think Vanjie and Shannel are mostly out of the running to win, there is definitely a path for Jorgeous, especially given that next week's maxi challenge is a Rusical and Angeria isn't eligible to earn a badge. Jorgeous is one of RuPaul's favorites and has improved quite a bit this season. If she can earn a third badge next week, she'll be tied with Angeria and her performance abilities are likely to help her if we get a talent show challenge, if there's a lip sync tie-break for the finals and/or she has to lip sync for the crown. Jorgeous could just be biding her time.

5. Nina West

Benefactress Badges: 2
Not Cut Off

While Nina West doesn't have the same lip syncing abilities as Jorgeous, her path to the end is somewhat similar. Nina has spent the last several years performing in Hairspray so the Rusical is certainly a challenge she could easily win. With the design challenges seemingly done, Nina could also snag a fourth badge if there's a comedy challenge waiting in Episode 10. She just needs to sneak past Angeria to make the final, and I think she's got a few more strengths to work with than Jorgeous does.

4. Gottmik

Benefactress Badges: 2
Not Cut Off

After her back to back wins in Episodes 2 and 3, Gottmik has yet to return to the top two and has twice been cut off. She seems a bit checked out, but if we're going on track record alone, its only her, Angeria and Roxxxy who have won substantial money for their charity. Angeria clearly sees Gottmik as the biggest threat to swipe her spot in the top three, and Gottmik really could win just about any challenge going forward. She got a hug from RuPaul this week, and especially if she can end the season on a high note, she could have the momentum to take home the crown.

3. Angeria Paris VanMichaels

Cut Off

Last week Angeria was riding high at the front of the pack, but all that good fortune might have come back to bite her. She's now sitting precariously in third place going into a week where she can't earn a badge. In all likelihood, two of her competitors could have three badges by the end of next week with two more weeks to overtake her. While Angie's performance chops are strong, I'm also not sure if she'll be able to beat Roxxxy should she manage to beat out Nina, Gottmik and Jorgeous for a spot in the finale.

2. Plastique Tiara

Benefactress Badges: 4
Not Cut Off

Somewhat improbably, Plastique Tiara has managed to accumulate four Benefactress Badges completely on her own merit and has not been cut off once. While two of those came in sewing challenges, two came from comedy weeks, proving that she has certainly improved since her first season. The one thing holding Plastique back is her performance ability. She's now lost four lip syncs in a row, and was beat by all three of the people most likely to be in the finale with her. While it seems like Plastique will be in the running for the crown, she's going to need to pull out something we haven't seen yet if she wants to win.

1. Roxxxy Andrews

Not Cut Off

Nina West must be kicking herself for giving that badge to Roxxxy way back when rather than Shannel. Now Roxxxy has four badges and three lip sync wins under her belt. That's quite a resume heading into the finale where you know she'll deliver a solid final lip sync performance as well. She's got three more weeks to earn a fifth badge which would all but lock her into the finals, but even if she doesn't get another badge, she seems to be sitting in a good place. Could she join her Season 5 finalists Jinkx Monsoon and Alaska as an All Stars winner?
