Alba-Golden ISD employees to receive raises for coming school year

ALBA, Texas ( KETK ) – Alba-Golden ISD shared that their employees will receive a pay increase for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the district, on July 1 the school board approved the compensation plan that included the general pay increase and a one-time $1,000 retention stipend in the fall.

Reportedly, employees’ pay will have a 3% increase of the market median and any positions below the median will have special adjustments.

“The Board of Trustees and Alba-Golden ISD appreciate the jobs that each of our employees do for our students and community,” a release said.

In January 2023, the Alba-Golden ISD board also approved four-day school weeks with a three-year pilot period. The 2024-2025 school year will be the second year the school district operates with a four-day instructional week. The district said the switch was done to retain and attract high-quality teachers.
