ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A Back to School Bash and Resource Fair was held in Albany State University’s West Campus Arena on Saturday, July 20. The event lasted from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and featured ESPN Analyst and former Falcons Wide Receiver Harry Douglas, who was this year’s special guest and host.

Virginia man arrested in connection to inappropriately contacting Valdosta child
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - A Virginia man is behind bars after he reportedly inappropriately contacted a minor, according to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD). On June 21, a Valdosta resident reported to police that she had seen “inappropriate contact” from an adult man with her 7-year-old niece. The communication involved explicit images, according to a police release.
