Central police officer, citizen struck by a pickup truck Sunday morning; suspect arrested
CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) — An officer with the Central Police Department was hit by a vehicle on Sunday morning. According to the police department, Officer Tim Gilbert was conducting a routine traffic stop on Central Thruway before a Ford F-150 pickup truck heading north struck Gilbert and other citizens on the scene on the passenger side window. The driver of the pickup truck did not stop after the crash.
