Officials said the roof has been leaking, putting historical artifacts at risk. The funding is coming from the Preservation League of New York State.

The mansion was first built in 1798 and has been a community museum for more than 75 years. Officials said the renovations will ensure the mansion remains an educational resource for future generations.
