    Albany man charged in North Lake Avenue robbery

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A man, who police said pushed and struck another man during a robbery on North Lake Avenue, has been arrested.

    Around 11:55 a.m. Thursday, the victim told Albany police that while walking near North Lake Avenue and Elk Street, he was approached by someone who forcibly stole his property. He was pushed to the ground and struck, and the suspect fled the scene.

    The victim was treated at the scene for lacerations to his hands and knee. A short time later, police found someone matching the description of the suspect on foot near Central Avenue and Quail Street. Naim Cook was stopped by officers and taken into custody.

    Cook was charged with robbery in the second degree and sent to the Albany County Jail.
