7/23/2024: A couple days of showers & storms

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

Steady rain this morning has prompted some flood concerns, especially in central Rensselaer County. Some spots have seen over 2 inches of rain. 1 to 2 inches has also fallen around the City of Albany, where a little more nuisance street flooding may occur as well.

Steadiest rain ends by late morning, though a few pop up downpours or thunderstorms will be possible into the afternoon.

Only a few lingering, scattered showers overnight. Expect low temperatures in the upper 60’s.

More scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, especially in the afternoon. Expect highs again in the low 80’s.

After a cold front brings a final round of showers and storms on Thursday, we’ll clear out nicely for Friday and Saturday – more sun, less humidity, and highs in the mid 80’s.

Warming to around the 90 degree mark for both Sunday and Monday, though humidity will stay at a manageable level.
