ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Albany County Sheriff’s Office announced that the human remains located at a home on Sheridan Avenue in Albany earlier this month have been identified as 42-year-old Tabitha King. King had been reported missing by the Colonie Police Department since March.

Investigators found King’s body on July 11 after a search warrant was executed at a home located at 301 Sheridan Avenue in connection to a suspicious death investigation . Despite the remains being in an advanced state of decomposition, the ensuing autopsy revealed no signs of foul play in King’s death.

The owner of the home, Steven Herbst, 42, was arrested as a result of the discovery. He was charged with concealment of a human corpse before being remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
