A neon “Love At First Bite” sign hangs above some tables at this casual Albany Park spot. But unlike other restaurants that seem designed for photo ops, you might actually fall in love with the Mexican dishes at Taco Max. Their well-seasoned and nicely charred meats like al pastor and arrachera taste great whether loaded into tacos or chunky burritos. And their breakfast torta—with scrambled eggs, chorizo, and bean spread sandwiched between pillowy telera bread—is something we’d like to wake up next to every morning.
