    Almond, Aspenglow to perform benefit for American Red Cross, Esther House

    St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, 16592 St. Martin Road, Albemarle, will host “Rocky Mountain High – A Tribute to John Denver” at 3 p.m. June 1.

    Donations will be accepted for Esther House and American Red Cross to be used locally.

    Performing will be Rod Almond and Aspenglow — David Chandler (guitar, vocals), Lisa Ewers (percussion, vocals), Daniel Dickens (piano), Martha Sue Hall (upright bass), Tim Hedrick (keyboard, sax), Carmella Hedrick (woodwinds), Evan Hill (guitar, vocals), Sandy Hatley (dobro and banjo) and Gary Hatley (mandolin and fiddle).

    Songs will include “Rocky Mountain High,” “Annie’s Song,” “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Leaving On A Jet Plane” and more.
