Students present recital

Piano, organ, voice students of Anne F. Cooper presented their spring concert May 19 at Central United Methodist Church in Albemarle.
Anne Cooper opened the concert with a convocation.
Each student played several selections. Duets were performed by Jeremiah Betka, Rhyan Russell, Mallory Johnson, Kate Foutz and Jordan Korzelius.
Cara Huneycutt sang several vocals, including “This Is My Father’s World” by F.L. Shepperd.
Jordan Korzelius was guest musician, and is majoring in music performance at Appalachian State University. He performed “Celebration” by Benton Price on the Schantz pipe organ, and “Climb” on the piano, an original piece he composed.
The concert concluded with “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name,” a duet by Michael Ware, with Anne Cooper and Jordan Korzelius.
