Marion County Sheriff’s Department investigates Sandoval burglary
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a weekend burglary at a Sandoval home. Sheriff’s Deputies say the breakin was at a home in the 300 block of North Main Street. Entry was gained by breaking in a door. Items from the home were found in the yard and alleyway. A gun, comic books and knives were among items taken from the home.

Jaxon Cushman of Centralia posted an absolutely stellar series in the U15 Boys division of the Survivor Tournament. His 1225 total for five games – a whopping 245 average – had him sitting in first until the last squad. From unofficial results, he will finish in 5th overall. High area finisher in the U18 Boys division of Survivor is Wildcat Ryan Detering with an 1102 series, averaging 220. Ryan is in 81st out of 450 bowlers.
NWS Says At Least 27 Tornadoes In Chicago Area On July 15th
During the evening hours of July 15, a well-organized and long-lived complex of thunderstorms rolled across Iowa, Illinois and parts of Indiana. Widespread damaging winds of 60 to locally 100 mph were observed within the line, especially from eastern Iowa, northern Illinois, and central Illinois. In addition, at least 27 occurred in the NWS Chicago County Warning Area.
