The Freeborn County Highway Department will be closing Freeborn County Road 17 between 610th Street at the west county line to County Road 4 (650th Street) to allow the replacement of a large steel culvert.

The project is planned to begin on Wednesday and is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.  A signed detour is in place that uses Freeborn County Roads 4 and 46, and also Faribault County Roads 16 and 30. Residents are asked to stay out of the construction area unless accessing their properties.

Work continues on a culvert replacement project on County Road 26 northeast of Glenville. Work on that project is expected to be completed on Tuesday  and will be open to traffic at the end of the day barring delays.
