When someone tells you to be cool, they're not kidding. In Farmer Finishers this week, a word of caution: anything and everything will start a fire. I responded to one this week at the shooting range north of Billings. Anything could trigger a blaze that we could end up fighting for months. They are starting to get a handle on some of the largest fires in Montana. In the Lewis and Clark Forest, they have one about 25% contained, and the same with the one in Rosebud County. They did open the Tongue Reservoir but are advising it’s smoky, as you can imagine.

Daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 90s and triple digits on Wednesday, with our next dry cold front set to arrive Wednesday evening into Thursday producing gusty winds and the potential for heightened fire danger. There is now a red flag warning for Okanogan county in central Washington, the NE mountains of Oregon and parts western Montana for Wednesday for critical fire danger due to wind gust to 25-25 mph, low RH and hot temperatures. Winds remain breezy into Thursday with a fire weather watch for Spokane, Palouse and LC valley for elevated fire danger.
RiverStone Health seeking new Joliet clinic location
BILLINGS, Mont. - After more than 16 years seeing patients in the Joliet Community Center, RiverStone Health Joliet Clinic is looking for a new location in the community. The Clinic is currently open Tuesdays and Fridays in the Joliet Community Center, co-leasing the space at 209 East Front Avenue with Beartooth Billings Clinic Physical Therapy. Last month, Beartooth Billings Clinic notified RiverStone Health that demand for services will require the expansion of Beartooth Billings Clinic’s days of operation on days when the space is occupied by RiverStone Health.
