SD team ties for 2nd at 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships
South Dakota’s team tied for second place for the sweepstakes award at the 2024 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships. Thirty-five youth representing SDSU Extension 4-H competed at the national championships from June 24-28 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The annual competition drew 708 youth from 40 states to demonstrate their abilities in archery and shooting across multiple disciplines.

Man hospitalized after 25-foot workplace fall in northeast Nebraska
PILGER, Neb. (KOLN) - A Stanton man was seriously injured after falling off a sloped roof at work in northeast Nebraska Wednesday morning. The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an accidental fall at the Pilger Co-Op around 10:40 a.m. When deputies arrived, they found a 52-year-old man that fell more than 25 feet off a sloped roof of a storage building at the Co-Op.
