Golf carts are not street legal and should only be driven on golf courses and private property. For your information, golf carts and low-speed vehicles (LSV) are two different classes of vehicles.
Boater safety: DEM warns of increased patrols Fourth of July weekend to enforce new rules
State and federal authorities say they plan extra patrols on the water around the July 4th holiday to make sure boaters aren't driving drunk or under the influence of drugs. Rhode Island officials say they will also ensure that boaters comply with two laws that went into effect last year – one requiring kayakers to wear life jackets and another prohibiting boat passengers from dangling their legs off moving boats.

The National Weather Service issued a report at 5:07 a.m. on Friday for torrential rain until 6 a.m. for Bristol County. "At 5:06 a.m., Doppler radar tracked heavy to torrential downpours over Johnston, moving northeast at 20 mph," states the weather service. "Minor nuisance flooding of typically flood prone areas."
