The Wright Center Receives Grant to Expand Dental Services
The Wright Center for Community Health has received a $148,400 grant from the Moses Taylor Foundation to expand dental services at its health center in Wilkes-Barre. The Wright Center will use the grant to purchase three dental chairs and related equipment. The health center at 169 North Pennsylvania Ave., continues to expand dental and whole-person primary health services to meet the needs of Luzerne County residents.

Camp Smile provides fun activities for youth with cancer
Camp Smile brought a week full of joy to campers at the annual event hosted by the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley at Muhlenberg College’s Moyer Hall. A 2.2 magnitude earthquake rattled part of New Jersey early Wednesday, the strongest tremor to hit this state this month. The earthquake was centered about 3.1 miles east of Califon, Hunterdon County at about 1:44 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. That’s about a 30-mile drive from Easton.
Northampton Community College adds men’s and women’s wrestling; 1st coach has big goals
Shaun Lally and Northampton Community College’s newly formed wrestling programs seem like the perfect match. Lally has local ties. He graduated from Parkland in 2001 and even wrestled for the Spartans when they were still a club in 2006, after using all but one of his years of eligibility at the University of Pittsburgh.
