ISLETA PUEBLO, N.M. (KRQE) – Two fire trucks from Albuquerque Fire Rescue have a new home with the Iselta Fire Department. The trucks were being decommissioned by AFR after 20 years of service.

“These trucks are the first Type One engines that they’re going to have in their fleet. These type one engines are capable of holding 500 gallons of water, and as you mentioned, in an area that is limited on water supply. They also are able to pump 2,000 gallons a minute, so these should be a huge asset for the Pueblo of Isleta,” said AFR Lt. Jason Fejer.

The Isleta Fire Department said the donation will help them open another fire station.
