    Puppy found in stolen U-Haul, Albuquerque police report

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police Department (APD) made an unexpected discovery when they pulled over a stolen U-Haul.

    The officers found a puppy sitting inside the cab of that moving truck on Friday.

    APD said they were notified about the stolen truck near Rio Grande and Central, but when they found it, the driver took off.

    Police said they eventually used spike strips to stop it and arrested 51-year-old Ralph Sanchez. The puppy did not appear to be hurt.
