City of Albuquerque hosting back-to-school supply giveaways

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is inviting families to gear up for the start of school with giveaways this week. On Thursday, the city is hosting a back-to-school health fair with free clothing and school supplies at the Los Griegos Health and Social Service Center (1231 Candelaria Rd NW) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Then on Saturday, the city is giving out backpacks at the Mesa Verde (7900 Marquette Ave. NE) and West Mesa (5500 Glenrio Rd. NW.) Community Centers to families who register ahead of time . The giveaway will happen from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
