Former LSU pitcher Jaden Hill has received a promotion from the Hartford Yard Goats to the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes.

Hill was a member of the LSU baseball team from 2018-2021. He finished his career with a 3-3 record and a 4.21 ERA. He struck out 53 hitters and only walked 20 for his career. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2nd round of the 2021 MLB draft.

He started his professional career in rookie ball for the Rockies in 2022. He advanced to the Rockies High-A affiliate team by the end of the year. He played in 10 games and finished with a 0-0 record and 3.06 ERA. Last season, he started the year in High-A ball and his season did not go as planned. He started 16 games and finished the year with an 0-9 record and a 9.48 ERA.

Despite his struggles, Hill started 2024 in Hartford with the Double-A affiliate. He has appeared in 34 games this season, all coming from the bullpen. He has a 5-2 record and a 3.52 ERA. Those numbers have earned him a call-up to the Albuquerque Isotopes as he is now one step away from the MLB.
