ELY, Iowa — A new mixed-use development is coming to the City of Ely. It's called "Main Street Legacy". City leaders broke ground Monday afternoon for the $7 million project. The project calls for both housing and storefronts on the corner of Dows Street and Main Street in the downtown area.

Northside Diner is only open for lunch, but they are soon opening for dinner too: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday:10:30 am-3:00 pm. They are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. East Washington Auto Wash is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and Walmart has all of your household or outdoor items and groceries. New affordable housing options available in Atkins as part of Derecho recovery
ATKINS, Iowa — The city of Atkins unveiling some new affordable housing duplexes in town. The units were made possible as part of the federal government's response to the 2020 Derecho recovery. The city partnering with Ralston Eco Homes and Todd Richardson Construction to build three duplexes on Driftwood Lane. The homes will have heat pumps and solar panels that will cover up to half of the cost of electricity.
