Alderson 4th of July festival continues over the weekend

ALDERSON, WV (WVNS) – Even after the 4th of July the fun does not stop over in the town of Alderson!

The Alderson 4th of July festival runs through the weekend of July 6th, 2024 with more fun events scheduled.

The festival will showcase the Fireman’s Rodeo Friday night. The festival will also feature a stage show and a fireworks show Saturday night.

Rick Honaker, Chairman of the Fireman’s Rodeo, said whether you are a local or an out-of-stater, he just wants to put a fun festival together.

Oh it’s great. We started this event in 1988 and the celebration started back in the 60’s. We do this for the community, we do this for the fire departments, we do it for our state, and we do it for our country”

The festival is completely free and the final day to attend will be Monday, July 8, 2024.
