    $74,000 in counterfeit money recovered in Alderson

    ALDERSON W.Va. (WVDN) – Police in Alderson have recovered an astounding $74,000 in counterfeit money following an investigation.

    According to an official statement, the counterfeit money was “in denominations of 20, 50 and 100 dollar bills.” Officers remind the public to “Please be responsible and diligent by checking the bills at your businesses and or if you sell something.”

    The statement advised that, “These bills, while they look authentic, are not. Printed in the top right corner is ‘For Motion Picture Purposes.'”
