Roof torn off Village Bar Supper Club in Kieler
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - After severe weather in Southern Wisconsin Monday night, owners of a supper club are cleaning up in the village of Kieler. The roof of Village Bar Supper Club was damaged by an EF1 tornado. The owners say they are glad no one was hurt, but will be closed until further notice.

Davenport man sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man was sentenced to 137 months, or 11 years and five months, in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to a media release, Sylvester George Taylor Staples, 31, was found in possession of a firearm and 9.24 grams of cocaine base on July 10.
Severe storms with tornado reports whip through Midwest, killing 1, cutting power to 460K
CHICAGO (AP) — Storms spawning multiple tornado reports blew through Iowa, Illinois — including Chicago — and Indiana on Monday, downing trees and power poles and cutting power to more than 460,000 customers and businesses. A woman in Indiana died after a tree fell onto a home, authorities said.
Severe weather slams central Illinois, again
For the second time in as many nights, damaging winds caused widespread damage and power outages. The storms Monday night resulted in staggering wind gusts. A corn crib was destroyed by a 105 mile per hour wind gust near Camp Grove in Marshall County. South Pekin clocked a 78 mile per hour wind gust, Elmwood 71 mph and Lewistown 70 mph. Wind gusts of 60 to 70 miles per hour were common over most of the area. Several communities reported wind damage with the main problem being trees and tree limbs knocking down power lines and causing roads and streets to be blocked. We’ll get a better idea of damage when it’s daylight. The Monday night storms hit as some communities were cleaning up from storms Sunday night which caused damage in Henry and Bloomington.

Hundreds Without Power until Tonight to Replace Utility Poles and Lines
Many Kewanee homes and businesses will be without power today after strong winds knocked down trees and utility poles from the storms last night. Ameren is estimating that power will be restored by 6 PM today. However, approximately 400 customers will remain without power until closer to midnight. Ameren is working as fast as it can to replace utility poles and power lines. The City of Kewanee said they will provide updates as they get them. Neponset remains without power as of 12:20 PM. There are more strong storms predicted for our area tonight, Monday, July 15th.
