Nanooks Hockey Holds Edgeboss Elite Pre Tryout Camp July 30-August 1
FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks hockey program is set to host its Elite Pre Tryout Camp featuring Edgeboss on July 30-August 1 at the Patty Ice Arena. The camp will be split up into two one-hour long skill sessions on each day where participants will work with Alaska Hockey coaches and players. Anyone born between 2008 and 2015 is eligible to participate. Skaters will utilize Edgeboss apparatuses and train using the same techniques as the Alaska Hockey team. Incidental Take Authorization: United States Coast Guard's Fast Response Cutter Homeporting in Seward and Sitka, Alaska
NOAA Fisheries has received a request from the United States Coast Guard for authorization to take marine mammals incidental to fast response cutter homeporting in Seward and Sitka, Alaska. NOAA Fisheries is requesting comments on its proposal to issue two incidental harassment authorizations to incidentally take marine mammals during the specified activities. NOAA Fisheries is also requesting comments on possible one-time, 1-year renewals that could be issued under certain circumstances and if all requirements are met, as described in Request for Public Comments at the end of this notice. NOAA Fisheries will consider public comments prior to making any final decision on the issuance of the requested MMPA authorizations and agency responses will be summarized in the final notice of our decision.
Missing hiker turns up at lodge in Kachemak Bay State Park
A missing hiker sparked a two day search effort in Kachemak Bay State Park earlier this week. Amandine Testu took a water taxi from Homer to the state park last Friday.
