The positive returns from Alabama’s Champions Cook-Out event continue to pour in.

Multiple five-stars and elite players at their respective positions have spoken with BamaOnLine about their experience. One of those is Cederian Morgan , a 6-foot-5, 210-pound wide receiver out of Alexander City, Alabama. Morgan returned to Tuscaloosa for the second time in the past couple of months as he previously attended a camp in late May.

The scavenger hunt — which featured Tik Tok dances, going around campus, and more activities — was the highlight for Morgan. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience at Bama.

“I had a good time out there,” Morgan told BamaOnLine . “Just vibing and getting to know each other. It was a good little vibe. We were all together. It just felt like a big family… we were inside, we did a little scavenger hunt, and we danced.”

Morgan was previously not scheduled to attend Sunday’s event as he was supposed to be at a family reunion that day.

He instead was able to head up to Alabama alongside several family members: His grandparents, mom, brother, and sister.

“My family, they wanted to go,” Morgan said of what led to the last-minute schedule change. “My mom and them wanted to go to see what it was like, so we went… we were treated great. The staff they had working there, they treated us very well.”

The coach who Morgan and his family spent most of their time with was JaMarcus Shephard , who’s been his primary recruiter the past couple of months. In the laid-back atmosphere at the event, most of the conversations revolved around things not necessarily relating to football.

“It was recruiting, but it was mainly him getting to know my family and who I was. Just having a good time,” Morgan said of his time with Shephard. “It was a good experience. He told me a lot about himself and I told him a lot about myself.

“He’s got a very good history,” Morgan continued. “Worked with some good receivers. At Washington, his receivers were top picks. He knows what he’s doing, and I think he does a good job with what he’s doing.”

Morgan does not have an Alabama return visit locked in just yet, but he says he’s planning to be in the stands at Bryant-Denny Stadium for the Georgia game on Sept. 28.

Morgan spoke with a trio of 5-star Alabama commits on Sunday

Unlike his previous visit to Alabama, his return this past weekend gave Cederian Morgan a chance to talk with current and future players of the football team.

That group included Dijon Lee , Keelon Russell , Jalen Milroe , and Ty Haywood .

“I was talking with Keelon, Lee, Haywood… I was talking with Jalen, too,” Morgan said. “[Keelon and I] were just talking and having a good time. The staff was like, ‘He’s 2025 so, if we come, he’ll be waiting on us.’ We were just getting to know each other for real.

“I had a good time,” Morgan added of the experience. “They were fun people to be around.”

Sunday’s visit also gave Morgan an opportunity to catch up with Kalen DeBoer again.

“He was happy to have me there. It was good seeing me and stuff like that,” Morgan said of his conversation with DeBoer. “He focuses a lot on guys at my position. So, I feel like he would be a big help in getting me to the next level.”

Morgan has seen Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, and others dip into his recruitment in recent weeks. As such, he is still weighing his options and isn’t close to a decision.

He did say, however, that Alabama is a strong contender early on in their pursuit.

“They’re a big school. They’ve been consistent with winning, so they’ll be near the top of the list,” Morgan said of the Tide. “But I’m going to go everywhere and see what fits me the best.”
