Hickory Woman Detained By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office
A Hickory woman was arrested on Sunday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. Melanie Amanda Greene, age 43, was served Catawba County warrants for felony insurance fraud and felony larceny. She has been released from custody under a secured bond of $15,000. Greene was scheduled to appear in Catawba County Superior Court on Monday.
Alexander County Woman Facing Felony Drug Trafficking Charges
Kadi Woodman Laws, age 34 of Stony Point, was arrested on July 7th by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Laws has been released from custody. Her next court date in Statesville is scheduled for July 29th.
Local Jail Sentence Imposed
A Taylorsville man was given an active jail sentence following a Monday (July 15) court appearance. 40-year-old Kyle Rayvon Shepherd was found to be in contempt of court and sentenced to serve 42 days in the Alexander County Detention Center. He appeared in court on a probation violation charge.
Taylorsville Man Charged With Assault, False Imprisonment
51-year-old Marlan Chad Watts of Taylorsville, was arrested Monday (July 15) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with assault on a female, assault by communicating threats and false imprisonment. Watts was jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. A court date is set for August 20.
Hickory Woman Charged By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office
A Hickory woman is facing charges following her arrest by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, July 14th. 49-year old Amberly Jean Punch is charged with felony larceny after breaking and entering. She has been released from custody under a bond of $5,000 and was scheduled for a District Court appearance on Monday in Taylorsville.
Alexander County Man Jailed On Felony Larceny Charge
Robert Wayne Lee, age 60 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Sunday by Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with felony larceny from a motor vehicle and vandalism with damage to personal property. Lee was released under a secured bond of $10,000. He was scheduled to appear in District Court on Monday.
Taylorsville Man Jailed Without Bond
Marlan Chad Watts, age 51 of Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Monday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with assault on a female, assault by communicating threats and false imprisonment. Watts is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. August 20th is listed as a court date.
Alexander County Man Facing Felony Drug Charge
Jeffery Thomas Bordeaux, age 54 of Taylorsville, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, July 11th. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and was also served warrants for failure to appear on charges of driving with license revoked and speeding. Bordeaux has been released under a secured bond of $6,000 and is scheduled to appear in District Court today in Taylorsville..
