(WNTZ) – The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living (TFL) is excited to announce that the Town of Ball has become the 35th Louisiana municipality to adopt a comprehensive smoke-free indoor ordinance. This is a huge win not only for the goal and mission of TFL, to create a healthy state, but also it is a win for the community of Ball where now all residents and visitors can go anywhere in the town and enjoy themselves without the dangers of having to breathe in secondhand smoke.

The Literacy Bus, filled with books and volunteers, made an appearance at the City of Alexandria’s Back to School Bash. At the event, they interacted with numerous children and their families, spreading awareness about reading. The initiative provided books and literacy resources to many attendees, with gratitude towards the City of Alexandria for the partnership. Community partners such as Red River Bank and the Rapides Parish Library contributed items like treats and the Book Mobile to the cause.
