Support is surging for the family of a 35-year-old Alexandria mom who loved ones say died in a tragic accident over the weekend.

Vanessa V. Schwartz "stepped into traffic" when she was struck and killed on Sunday, March 10 just before 4 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County, Virginia State Police said.

Vanessa was struck by a Honda Accord unable to avoid her, which was then struck by a 2021 Acura RDX, police said. The Acura struck the jersey wall and a 2023 Nissan Rogue, police said.

A GoFundMe launched for Vanessa's husband, Michael, and 8-month-old daughter, Lucy, had raised more than $20,000 as of Tuesday, March 11. The campaign remembered Vanessa as a devoted mother, wife, and daughter.

"She was a sweet, generous, loving, and caring woman whose life was cut short by the negligence of a driver for what was supposed to be a safe ride home," the campaign says.

Another poorly written article. Please have more information next time because this story lacks important details.

Maybe she was inebriated. Nevertheless, my condolences to her entire family.
