Derrick Williams vandalizes ex-girlfriend’s property with used cat litter
40-year-old Derrick Williams, an employee of 7 Deuce Social Club, was seen vandalizing his ex-girlfriend, Ms. Cusano’s property at a Verkler Drive Apartment on July 6th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Cusano, who claimed that Williams, her ex-boyfriend, took multiple items from her property. Officers later found the items in a dumpster near the residence. Officers noticed the items were contaminated with used cat litter and other garbage. Based on the statements made and officers finding the property in a nearby dumpster, a warrant was issued. Williams was then found and taken into custody for vandalism on July 7th.

CLARKSVILLE, TN – Austin Peay State University received 6,094 gifts and pledges from 2,553 donors and achieved a fundraising total of over $12.6 million during the 2024 fiscal year. Trooper ‘doing much better’ after shooting, family says
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Trooper Adam Cothron, who was shot on Interstate 40 on Friday night, is ‘doing much better’ according to a post from his family on Facebook. District Attorney Bryant Dunaway shared Gena Cothron’s post where she described his injury. She wrote the bullet is not lodged in his spinal column like they originally thought. Instead, it’s in the area of his right scapula improving the odds of mobility in his legs.
Vigil held for 7-year-old allegedly drowned by mom
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A vigil was held Saturday night to remember 7-year-old Piper Elliott. Earlier this week Piper died after a drowning in Drakes Creek. Police said her mother, Brandi Elliott, told them she was having a rough day and her daughter wouldn’t leave her alone. The arrest report said Elliott told her daughter to “be quiet” as she held her underwater. She later tried to revive her with CPR. Piper died later at the hospital.
