Cullman police and fire departments gear up for Rock the South
CULLMAN, Ala. – Officers of the Cullman Police Department, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and Cullman Fire Rescue met Tuesday afternoon and again on Wednesday to finalize plans for Rock the South 2024. The event will draw together resources of the three agencies along with Cullman EMS, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (State Troopers), multiple volunteer fire departments from across the county, Guntersville Police Department and the sheriff’s offices of Jackson, Madison, Marshall and Morgan counties.

Susan Norris is a peer helping teacher at Hoover High School. Peer helpers are students trained to tutor and mentor other students and help resolve student disputes. A: I graduated from Auburn University in 1994, so I’ve been teaching in some fashion on and off since then. My degree is in chemistry and math. I have a master’s in both of those, but right now I actually teach an amazing class at Hoover High School called peer helping.
