A Powerball ticket worth over $243,000 was sold at a gas station in Riverside County, California, though no one won the jackpot. This has pushed the jackpot to an impressive $456 million for the upcoming Monday draw. The winning ticket, which had five matching numbers but missed the Powerball, was sold at a gas station in Lake Elsinore and is valued at $243,664. In other states, similar tickets are worth $1 million or $2 million, but California law calculates winnings differently, depending on sales and the number of winners.

A ticket from Pennsylvania with five matching numbers is worth $1 million. The numbers drawn last Saturday were 7, 16, 19, 45, 64, with a Powerball number of 25. This was the 26th drawing since a ticket hit all six numbers. The odds of winning the full jackpot are extremely low, at 1 in 292.2 million, while the chance of winning any prize is 1 in 24.9.
