Main Street in Sparta is Reopened
SPARTA, NJ- Main Street a/k/a County Road 517 in Sparta has been reopened according to the Sparta Police Department. Main Street was closed at the intersection of Roamin Way near the Ogdensburg border earlier on Friday. Police report tree limbs and several utility poles are down. According to police JCP&L arrived on the scene at 2 p.m.
Charleston man found dead in Maine plane crash
TRENTON, MAINE — A Charleston pilot was found dead on July 25 in the wreckage of a plane crash at a small coastal airport in Maine. Maine State Police responded to reports of a plane crash at Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton around 12:25 p.m., according to a news release. The aircraft, a single-engine Cirrus SR22, crashed on approach to the airport, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration.

TRENTON — State police have identified the two people who died in a plane crash Thursday at the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport. "The pilot was 71-year-old Michael Leibowitz of Charleston, S.C. and the passenger was Christina Chung, 57, of Livingston, N.J.," Maine State Police Spokesperson Shannon Moss said.

North Jersey woman identified as one of two killed in Maine airplane crash
A North Jersey woman was among two people killed in a plane that crashed in Maine Thursday, hours after departing a Morris County airport, authorities said. Christina Chung, 57, of Livingston, was a passenger in the single-engine Cirrus SR22 piloted by 71-year-old Michael Leibowitz, of Charleston, South Carolina, when it crashed and caught fire just off the runway at Hancock-Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton, Maine, said Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

In response to a July 13 letter to the editor, yes corporate “scrooges” are partly to blame for some of the price increases we have seen over the last 3 1/2 years, but the primary blame falls into the laps of President Biden, Sen. Health Reminders Before Denville Students Go Back to School
DENVILLE, NJ - Denville Public Schools released information from the Health Services Department in Friday’s newsletter. For the families of students of Valleyview Middle School, Riverview Elementary School, and Lakeview Elementary School, all medications and order forms to administer them must be sent to the health office before the start of the school year. All forms must be signed by a parent/guardian and a doctor. Dates will be sent out later in the summer for drop-off.
