Tonight's Forecast: Stronger storms possible after midnight

The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Reece Cole: More heat and humidity ramp up by Sunday and Monday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. It will feel like low/mid 90s. But, shower and storm chances are the focus during the overnight hours the next 3 nights: Tonight into Sunday morning, Sunday evening into Sunday night, and on Monday. Some storms may be strong to severe. In fact, our area remains in a MARGINAL RISK (level 1 of 5) for strong/severe storms, late Saturday night, Sunday and Sunday night. Some areas along/west of U.S. 131 are in a SLIGHT RISK (level 2 of 5) on Monday for storms. Hail and wind would be the primary threats. Stay alert with FOX 17 weather for your latest forecast.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. A chance of dying or decaying thunderstorms, but some may be strong to severe with wind/hail. Lows in the upper 60s. Winds south at 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY: An AIR QUALITY ADVISORY has been posted for Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Van Buren, Allegan, and Berrien Counties. A chance of strong/severe morning storms, otherwise becoming mostly sunny to partly cloudy, warm, and humid. More storms possible in the evening and night. Some may be strong to severe. Highs in the mid/upper 80s. Feels like temperatures in the 90s! Winds southwest at 10 to 15 mph.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy, warm, and humid. Chance of a showers/storms. Some may be strong to severe. Highs in the upper 80s to near 90. Feels like temperatures in the low/mid 90s!

TUESDAY: Chance of lingering morning showers/storms, otherwise becoming partly. Cooler and less humid too. . Highs in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and cool. Highs in the upper 70s.
