Standoff on Crestwood Drive in Lima ends peacefully after two hours
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima man allegedly refused to leave his home when Allen County Sheriff deputies tried to execute a protection order. 26-year-old John Peterson III walked out of 807 Crestwood Drive after a two-hour negotiation with the sheriff's department after he barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies were trying to execute a court-ordered protection order when Peterson closed the door and refused to come out.

LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - Activate Allen County is giving people around Lima the chance to get outside and see what is growing close to their backyard. This is the 5th year that Activate Allen County has held their South Jackson Community Garden Block Party. There was free food from CJ’s Dog House and a food distribution by the West Ohio Food Bank. Man being held after search warrants in Allen County yields drugs, firearms, and cash
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force seized a large amount of money, drugs, and guns during a raid earlier this week. With the help of the FBI's Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force and the Allen County SWAT Team, they took 34-year-old Brandon Maitlen into custody, and he is being held in the Auglaize County Jail on a probation violation.
