Check out the Allen Museum exhibits on July 6 & 7

ALLEN — The acclaimed Allen Historical Society Museum - located at 3430 Allen Road in Allen - will open Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7.

Come enjoy the following exhibits: the life of the Pocomoke Indian Nation that populated this peninsula for thousands of years; the life and history of a local man who served the Nation as a Buffalo Soldier; the names of local men who served – and died – in WW II; interesting census data and a map of local residents from the 1800s; the history of the beautiful home that houses the Museum; and local arts and crafts and old housewares.

Enjoy the interesting videos, listen to a 1915 Edison phonograph, buy a souvenir, and more.

The Museum will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is free!
