Potentially armed man barricades himself in Washington County building
WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) — A potentially armed man barricaded himself in a building in Washington County on Friday night, authorities said. It all started around 5:30 p.m. on East Maiden Street in Washington. There is a large police presence at the scene, including SWAT officers. Police have pleaded on a loudspeaker for the man to negotiate and exit the home. Police have made it clear to the man inside that they aren't going anywhere.It is not clear when the situation will be resolved. As of 11:15 p.m. on Friday, the standoff was still active.It was not immediately known why law enforcement was called to the scene or if there were any injuries.
