Macon County Environmental Management to host hazardous waste collection September 21
July 25, 2025 – Macon County Environmental Management, in collaboration with Illinois EPA, will host a hazardous waste collection event on September 21. The collection will be held in the John Deere Lot at Progress City on Decatur’s northeast side from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and is open to all residents. Registration will be available from July 22nd- September 20th. Waste from businesses, institutions, non-profits and other organizations will not be accepted. Those who register for a timeslot may only bring one vehicle per registration.
