KENTUCKY STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN CONNECTION TO THE SHOOTING OF TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL TROOPER
PRINCETON, KY — Kentucky State Police (KSP) report that KSP Post 2 Troopers arrested Braze Rucker early Sunday morning July 21st at a residence in Princeton, KY. The arrest was in reference to the July 19, 2024, shooting of Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Trooper Adam Cothron, in Putnam County, TN. Trooper Cothron (THP) conducted a traffic stop on I-40, at mile marker 285, near the Burgess Falls exit, occupied by two males.
Cookeville Set For Orientation Thursday Afternoon
Cookeville High School hosting freshman orientation Thursday to allow students and families to get familiar with the school. Principal Karen Trentham said students at the event can get their schedule and student ID, pay their fees, and walk around campus to find their classes. Trentham said there will also be a brief assembly for students and parents about various events at the school and rules for items like pick up and drop off.
DUI: Kandy Bradley swerves between lanes after drinking at The Thirsty Goat
52-year-old Kandy Bradley was observed driving recklessly near The Thirsty Goat on Highway 41A South on July 5th. Officers noticed the vehicle approaching the red light at McAdoo Creek and Highway 41A S then stopping. When the light turned green, officers observed Bradley’s vehicle quickly speeding off and driving at a high rate of speed in the number 2 lane. Bradley’s vehicle then activated their turn signal near Quail Hollow Road. The vehicle then turned right onto Quail Hollow, briefly entering the opposite travel lane before returning to the correct lane. Officers initiated a traffic stop and detected a strong smell of alcohol coming from Bradley upon making contact with her. When asked, Bradley admitted to officers that she had consumed two alcoholic drinks at The Thirsty Goat before leaving. Bradley was then asked to perform a sobriety test, which she agreed to. However, she performed poorly and showed numerous indicators of intoxication. Bradley was subsequently taken into custody for improper lane use and DUI.
